10 bolt axle swap issues

Postby 87_troopaII » Mon May 03, 2021 2:35 pm

I installed a 10 bolt axle in my 1987 Isuzu trooper, everything bolted right in, however the issue I can into is that the drive shaft will not bolt into the thirdmember yoke because the flange on the driveshaft is smaller. Will a 1988-91 front driveshaft bolt up to my msg5 transmission-transfercase?

I believe the flanges are the same on both ends. So I would think if you used the newer driveshaft you would have issues on the T-case side.

So would I need a custom made shaft? I thought it would be plug and play like the rear end.
