Howdy! I recently bought a 96 isuzu trooper and everything was going good until the alternator failed, shorting itself to ground. This required me replacing my battery to fix and replacing the alternator. I try to plug in the new battery and it instantly blows the main 80 amp fuse if the positive terminal of the alternator is connected, if only the sense wiring harness is connected then the horn in the back of the engine on the passenger side just blares enough to make someone deaf until the battery is disconnected. Removing the horn relay doesn't fix this. I also removed the starter relay and the A/C blower motor relay and the fuse also blows. Any advice? Feeling a little frustrated as of late. I'm rocking the 3.2l v6. Thanks for the help!

If the fuse blows when the main positive is connected, the fault is in the alternator. Are you sure it is connected in the right spot?
