fogs on with brights ***update**

Postby jeffmyers » Sat Feb 27, 2021 6:32 pm

Anyone done this ?
for me would be on my 2001 rodeo , but I read the trooper (2001) yellow ground wire on the fog switch can be given it's own ground so the fogs can come on anytime

I know an aftermarket wiring kit will accomplish this but wanting to make it work on OEM wiring

Looks like your info is correct.
Here is the diagram in case it's of any use.

Ok got it figured out ....
(at least halfway , still need to power the green indicator when the brights are on) see video...https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=5YYbyUMUzys

To do this mod, remove the pin on the for relay that is normally ground , but shows 12volts when the brights are on (see pic)

Give the relay a dedicated ground there, that is the ground that triggers the fogs when you push the switch.

This prevents that ground from going to 12v when the brights are on.

So next I want to run brights and lows and fogs ...anyone got any idea how to do that ?
