I am redoing someone else's Isuzu 4JG2/ 30-43LE swap. Original transfer case has passenger side drop and I need driver side drop. I removed original T/C and had to get a rear trans housing from a jeep AW4 to mate a NV/NP231 T/C. (AW4/A340/30-43LE are same trans with various changes) The problem now is the output shaft of this trans is 27 spline and the 231 T/C is 23 spline. It appears that they do not make a 27 spline input shaft for this T/C. Anybody have any suggestions? I could swap the trans output shaft from a AW4 or A340 but would have to confirm it would interchange and then would have to basically rebuild the trans..
Thanks, but dont think its going to bolt up to a 4JG2 plus would have to change all the shafts or yokes, I already have the 30-43 that goes to a 4Jg2 so im working backwards from there. I think I have everything mating wise worked out except the spline count.
Yes it will bolt up. All the "4j" series share the same bellhousing pattern.
