The coil mounts directly to the top rear of the valve cover (see the ugly red and yellow arrow I made. Note that the valve cover is only grounded by a ground strap that attaches to the firewall and plugs to the rear of the valve cover. If you don't have this strap, you may have to make a ground wire. EDIT: so the ugly arrow i tried to make in paint didn't come out . The coil can be seen just above the throttle body and between the two hoses

Another view. Like Dennis said, coil sits on top of the rear of the valve cover. I prefer the 2.3 coil location for mine and am looking for a 2.3 coil bracket. On the 2.6 there's no room for the coil because of the itec manifold. On my 2.6 with the 2.3 intake and carb there is room. My reason for wanting to move it, a cleaner looking engine compt. and maybe won't have to remove it to adjust the valves. Double click the pics for a bigger view.

Harry, I don't remember a bracket. IIRC, the coil bolts directly to the vertical ears on the rear of the manifold - but it's been a while. Dennis

Dennis, I just assumed there was a bracket. I'll have to take a closer look later today. I think the coils on the 2 are the same, but that's another assumption.
