Interior room for camping Rodeo vs Trooper

Postby » Wed Mar 22, 2017 8:57 pm

As you can see in my sig, I'm a Rodeo guy. I do a lot of tent camping but occasionally I have just used the rear of the Rodeo instead of pitching the tent. A little short of legroom laying down (I'm 5'10'') and sitting up to pull your pants on is tricky with the lack of head room.

I see lots of Troopers on here setup to camp in the rear. It looks like the troopers are taller. Is the headroom that much better?
Do they offer a few more inches in "bed space" length? How do the Troopers compare to the Rodeos in this setup?

I'm seriously thinking about looking for a comparably year/engine Trooper, only for the extra space.

Feedback appreciated!

Troopers have a lot more head room because of the square shape.
My builds are dead without the pics photobucket was holding hostage. The pics have been deleted and so have the links from my sig.

Yeah, Troopers are definitely taller inside, not sure about length.

I have a sleeping platform in my Trooper that is level with the rear seatbacks when folded down. I sleep with my head toward the back, diagonal if room is available, and my feet hang over the rear footwell. Oh, and I am 6'3".
