I don't have a gas tank for you, but I wanted to let you know that the 1st gen Amigo tanks will work in the 1st gen Trooper. Hoping that will help expand your search!

Shouldn't need any modification. It bolted right up and took the same sending unit. The fill tube was at a slightly different angle and the vent tube was plumbed differently into the tank, however, I was able to use the same rubber lines up to the cap. Here they are side by side (Trooper tank on left, Amigo on right):

Yes, it should be the same capacity. The pic was just taken at a weird angle. I had a hard time finding a Trooper tank too, that's why I ended up with the Amigo tank. I saw pics of it and it looked close enough that I just took the gamble on it. It's been fine for me, 11 years now and no issues.

never looked at this site before for some reason, https://www.isuzupartscenter.com/v-1989 ... -6l-l4-gas but it seems to have what appears to be oem isuzu parts for all sorts of vehicles including 1stgen troopers? theres a brand new tank for 750$ and an amigo one for 660$ does the amigo one fit so well that its worth saving the money NOT getting the trooper tank?
