I think we need a chart

I think we need a chart of what width and size tires will go with what amount of lifts for each truck. Like the 32-11.5r16 are the max size for a first gen rodeo with no lift and no rubbing. So here's a template of different trucks and different lifts so if anyone knows what will work before rubbing gets into it, put it on there.

ALL TIRE SIZES LISTED HERE WILL FIT AS SAID WITH A RIM THAT HAS A 3.75 BACK SPACING

1st gen Rodeos

Most larger tire sizes will need some cutting of material from the wheel well also, so you'll want to include that factor in your chart.
My 265/75/16's fit with OME 913 rear coils. Some call 913's a 1" lift, others call it a 2" lift, I'd say it's closer to 2".
So, 2nd gen rodeo, 2" lift fits 265/75/16 (some trimming required).

It also depends on the wheels. An aftermarket wheel with 3.75" back spacing might require trimming but a 4" back spacing might not. A stock wheel might only need trimmed inside the wheel well where as an aftermarket one might need the fender trimmed as well.

I know Mikes '01 rodeo needed trimming inside the wheel well as well as some trimming of the bottom of the fenders and front bumper to fit 32x11.50-15 on aftermarket wheels with 3.75" backspacing and 3" lift.

alright, the list is coming along. thats great. I think we can make another chart for what will fit with no lift but trimming too. and thanks to whom ever has been updating my original chart. thats going to make it alot easier to read when someone looks at it. thanks again for the help guys. I hope to see it completed one day.

Also make the list conservative for those who don't want to cut or rub.
My experience 1ST GEN TROOPER....15'x8" wheel with 3.75" or 4" back spacing=31x10.50x15....stock or 32x11.50x15....with 1.5"-2" lift.
2000 2ND GEN TROOPER w factory flares....15"x8" wheels with 4.5"-4.75" backspacing(some 15" wheels won't clear rear brake calipers)=32x11.50x15....with 2"lift. Should be legal with flares(tread doesn't extend past flare, sidewall maybe a little)

Fabulous, just fabulous!

I'm just a stocker for now, but I do appreciate the documentation plan.

Great idea...

alright. I will do the bold on the names. also I will get the rest of the info put in. I was going to try to make this conservitive so if anything up on the list is going to require any trimming I will put it on there that it requires such or if you know the tire size that will fit I will put that on there. Thanks for the help guys. Im hoping this thread will make it alot easier for everyone to find what they need a little easier when it comes to tires. And for the rim issue, I was going with the factory rim set as the mark of what to look for on tires. I will continue on this list and try to make it easy for everyone to read. I will try to make the rim issue a part of it too so I will work on that as well and try to make that part just as easy to read.

that's probably because super swampers are almost always true deminsion, where all other tire manufacturers like goodyear run a little smaller than what is printed. ie 31" tires are usually at most 30.5" even new, except interco tires.

how about 33x12.5x15 mud tires (not swampers)

-1" of lift 1st gen amigo, modest fender trimming on rear of front fenders

just thought I'd spice it up on a monday :p

FYI - to add to your growing chart...I saw a 1st generation Rodeo with NO lift running 285/75 R16's, I actually stopped the guy at a red light to ask him personally.

Looked SWEET!

Ok, this might be a silly question, but alas I am a noobie (to this board anyways). What are the year breaks for the 1st and 2nd generation of Rodeos, Troopers, and Amigos? Could this be added to the list as well?

Thanks.

New update for list. there were the tires I was going to get before I just got fired tonight because I wanted to celebrate my friends 18th bday and wanted to go early. Apparently everyone else I work with can do whatever they want and leave early with bs reasons and the one time I want to after a year and a half of never calling in sick and never asking to leave early this is what I get. Apparently this is what I get for doing my job.

this should be a sticky/hall of fame

here is an idea - for each listing think we could have a link to a pic of a truck running the same set-up?

may be a bit of work but would be very helpful i am sure

alright. I can work on that. whats your truck running?? I will put a pic of it with the size you have (sence its your idea, it sould only be your truck). umm, I can use ztwenty4door's rodeo for the stock size. and thanks for saying this sould be in the hall of fame.
