Postby cdigital72 » Wed Nov 04, 2020 1:31 pm

Hey Guys Ive got a 1990 Isuzu Trooper 2.8v6 with 456 gears , I recently did a Dana 44 SAS , added the revolution low gears in my transfer case and also ported out the intake to match a 4.3 liter TBI
Im looking to move up to a 35" tire from my current setup which is a 33" tire..its not a daily driver but I do drive it back and forth from the trails here in NC Uwharrie

whats everyones thoughts on this

Probably would benefit from a higher ratio (lower gearing) if your making an off roader. My reason being the bigger tires change your effective rear ratio the wrong direction for off roading. If I figured correctly. the 33's would result in a ratio of 3.99 and the 35's a ratio of 3.76. Modifying the engine output will help get it down the road better but still thinking the 35's may be a little to much.
