Not mine, but looks decent.

88 Trooper in Southern Idaho

I don't want to know what is under that blanket on the back seat.

To me if the engine is strong this is a good deal. I have more than that in my 88 and its no where near as nice as that one, other than the rebuilt engine.

'92 Amigo 4x4 Hardtop 106K - $850 (Lake Stevens, WA)

Postby Ed Mc. » Sat Apr 17, 2021 12:04 am

Someone here should snap up this beautiful blue Amigo before it's gone! Just listed one hour ago!

I don't care what kind of mechanical work it needs, look at that body! And low miles to boot, here in Rust-Free PNW!!

I'd go get it but I already have too many cars & trucks taking up space.

https://offerup.com/item/detail/1105753738/

1992 Isuzu Amigo 4x4 with only 106,000 original miles. 1.8 liter engine (EFI) with 5 speed manual transmission. Runs but rough. Descent body with removable hardtop. Clean interior with no wear and tear in seats. Fun car to drive. Just needs some TLC!!! Need exhaust, brakes and engine diagnosis for rough idle and misfires. Will need to be hauled.

Wow, if that was near me it might be gone!

Is he correct on calling that a 1.8? Looks just like a 2.6 to me. Not that 800 cc's of displacement would make it look different Lol

Not if I got there first. My first thought was he meant 2.8, not 1.8, just missed the correct key. But then I've never seen the 2.8 in a Gen. one Amigo. Either way, well worth the price.

That drivers seat looked like new.

I wonder if that bushbar would mount to a first gen?

There's one up here that doesn't seem to want to sell.

First: If it's a 4x4 Amigo (what was it '92?) it has to be a 2.6 (unless something was seriously swapped). My first thoughts were "typical offerup scam". Then I checked and she has over 100 positive transactions. Now, if it were down here in MY corner, It'd already be in my backyard (and the wife would be ticked)
The bar will only "fit" a first gen Rodeo, Amigo, or pickup. Trooper bars are completely different. Dennis
1991 LS Trooper 2.8 V6 5 speed conversion (Sold)
1989 LS Spacecab 2.6 5 speed 4x4 manual hubs, Rodeo torsion bars, extended shackles, 2" lift, K&N air filter (drop in), dump bed conversion, burgundy interior change, warn brush bar. Engine is bored .020 oversize and upgraded to 1994 pistons, head and EFI system.
Previously owned: 1987 Trooper II LS, 1989 Trooper (parts only), 1994 Trooper 3.2 Auto, 1997 Rodeo 2.6 5 speed, 1993 shortbed pickup 2.3 (project - sold) 1992 Rodeo 4x4 LS (parts car, devoured by Spacecab needs) plus some 70 plus other non Isuzu vehicles over the years. 1994 Amigo devoured to provide head and EFI system.
Heavily damaged by engine compartment fire while driving on March 24th 2018, condemned by insurance company and taken on March 30th 2018 .

Maybe we'll get to meet the new owner. After all, this is probably the ONLY "go-to" site for it. :D

Can't blame a guy for trying to make a buck. Not a great look but the original owner was a knucklehead for selling it so cheap. Do not think this guy will get what he's asking for it, especially the "fixed" price.

Ed do you know if those center caps on the snowflakes are the same as the ones for the wheels below? They look the same.

I'll answer for Ed. Yes, they're the same. I've pulled them off the flat spoke wheels and used them on snowflakes.

89 Isuzu Trooper LS V6 5-Speed $2300 (Puyallup, WA)

Postby Ed Mc. » Sat Apr 24, 2021 8:37 pm

Looks decent; straight and clean exterior. Interior needs some TLC but not totally hammered.

A good platform for a build. Even has the rollup "window shade" cover over the rear cargo section. A rare option!
