Help IDing a Part - ‘91 Trooper 2.6 5sd

Postby BK_lex » Sun Apr 25, 2021 6:28 pm

Hi!

I found 2 disconnected wires. One connects to a part i can’t ID. Anyone know what this is? Its on the left side of the engine bay. You can see its position in the photo.

The second is on the front left, right next to the battery. Its full of crud and i couldn’t find anything obvious that it connects to.

First one I believe is the fast idle solenoid. NOt sure on the one by the battery. I'll go take a look at mine.

I suspected it was the fast idle solenoid, but i couldn't find a picture of the part that matched what i have. Any idea why it would be unplugged? Truck is new to me. I’m wondering if the owner before would have had a reason to unplug it vs. it coming lose on its own.

AC hasn’t ever worked for me, but i assume it needs a charge.
