Im pretty consistantly browsing YAj for first gen parts. Theyre pretty thin on the ground.
However the 2nd gens are plentiful!
I do a search for UBS with the condition set to second hand(otherwise you get all the generic car filters and such).
If you wish to search for non-trooper stuff; or any car in general; I recommend searching by the chassis code.

Absolutely under no circumstance should you use Buyee to ship parts.
They typically charge exorbitant fees once the item gets to their warehouse and will hold the item hostage until you pay.

I simply use them for their auto translate feature.

For smaller stuff I use Streeter.

I use a local importer for bigger items.
If you're in North Texas and interested I can pass the info along.
otherwise youll have to work out ways to import any of the bigger items on your own.

2nd Gen recaros pop up fairly often for cheap.
seem to be a couple different styles.
Both of these have the pair available.
Im pretty sure both of these have seat heaters as well.

These steering wheels aren't common but they do show up in various conditions from time to time.

someone really imported a whole SLX badge kit, I cant judge as I still want a jackaroo badge bad.

some first gen diesel gauges if anyone needs them. This seller also has a RHD irmscher dash that has all the fancy switches still in it. not currently listed but I'm sure it'll be put back up.

theres actually a couple sets of these on YAj

I already checked and sadly the seller does not have the grill

Dont expect it to show up without some dents

The first year of production troopers were called Rodeo Bighorn, since they were based on the the Isuzu Faster Rodeo which was the 4x4 version of the Faster.
Here is a first year of production brochure

Oh, nice! I’ve been looking for this type of site. Will definitely spend some time here … need to find how to coordinate shipping to CA

Do gen2 seats bolt up to gen1 rails?

Looks like a lower spec Irmscher that someone repainted.
shame about the broken hood scoop slats, but the truck does have 301,000 KMs on it which is absurdly high for a Japanese vehicle.
someone really loved this thing as it appears to be in really good shape which is reflected in it's weirdly high asking price of 520,000 yen or $4,118.40 at time of writing.

That'd be a fun import even just for the interior and bumper. Shame the bumper was repainted, though. My white whale right now is a good condition original grey/pewter Irmscher bumper.

I dont think grey would look good with that trucks paint color. I would have done a less glossy finish personally tho

Ive actually got one of those irmscher bumpers coming. I got it from the same seller that has the diesel gauges listed in the first post.
It is not in good condition and will have to get repainted sadly. The whole bottom will be getting tossed after I take measurements.
The bar itself is more than usable from the rest of the ad's photos.
Still trying to decide what colors would look good with my tan/white color combo.

Too bad troopers did not come with any 3rd row seating in the USA. I see from the pics it also shows shoulder seat belts.
Thing is, the auctions are all blocked for me as they say can not be shipped to the USA.
Then if you did somehow get the seats, who knows if all the mounting brackets would be included. And I wonder if no shoulder seat belts it wont be legal.

I posted the seats because there always seems to be someone asking or looking for a set.
As you mentioned it is a bonkers idea to want to put them in due to all the misc items youd need. trim panels are also different.
I dont think anyone trying to put a third row in cares about legality, or even safety lol

they charge ridiculous fees and shipping. What they quote on the front end never seems terrible, but once they get the item they will hold it hostage until you pay their fees.

You need to go through a exporter or importer of your choice for larger items.
for smaller stuff I strongly recommend streeter's service

You can't use the third row seats in a US spec Trooper anyways as the 7 seat models have very very significant bolstering on the back corner of the frame and up in the rear quarter on the body, going up the D pillar (sort of) to support the seat and passenger. It would just bend the hell out of the body even if you could find someway to mount it.

1998 is the year they switched over right?
Looking at the underside it looks like the intercooler is offset from the center.
They should have just made the scoop off centered like mazda did

Looks better centered I’d say. Monteros have a small offset scoop and it looks wierd.
Not a fan of the montero's either.
I enjoy some slightly quirky stuff like that usually tho
Obvious once pointed out but a lot of people dont notice.

Good find. It's hard to tell if that would look good cause it's such a harsh color.

My favorite hood "scoop" was the Mitsubishi Eclipse, which was more of a bulge. I assumed it was for the turbo, but it was for the alternator or something.
mitsubishi just be like that. the giant bulges on 3000gt's hoods are to clear the strut towers

They had some wild interior options, surprisingly our top spec LS interior was the same as theirs.
Looks like they also got the LS option a year before we did.
