that within our lifetimes we would be able to view hi-resolution color pics of the Martian landscape - it almost makes me giddy:

This pic is the most dramatic to me and it's now my screen background. It's as though you can almost reach out and just pick up a rock to look at it.........so close, yet so far away, millions of miles, that is.........this is a great day for our Space Program.
