I was wondering has anyone ever turbo charged a Isuzu 3.2 engine. I'm aware some guy in Australia S/C one, and in Japan they offer a Diesel Powered Rodeo that has a turbo. But I'm wondering about the 3.2. I'm interested to know how well can the engine hold boost, how far can the engine be taken to. One never knows, the engine could be a potential sleeper in the making. 8)

Personally, i see no purpose for a turbo in a rig that might hit the trail. If you want more power, SC it and get use of the low end grunt the 3.2 is known for. just my .02

I just don't think a turbo will give you any more benefits than a SC.

Oh, definatly agree with you on this..... The Rodeo or Amigo would see much more benifits from a S/C than a turbo. But I was wondering about how far can the engine itself be taken with a turbo. I'd definatly take a S/C for my Rodeo any day.... But the new SS Trail Blazer Twin Turbo concept has me thinking nasty thoughts.

Who knows..... the 3.2 might be a wolf in sheeps clothing regarding boost.

There is a Turbo'd VX in Japan. Check the VX board for pics as I've seen some there.

I'd love to see you do it :) A pair of small turbos, or maybe one positioned up near the radiator. What transmission do you have?

Auto tran. How much is the tranny hp can the that tranny stand before snapping anyway?

I'd love to do it..... But I'm working on my other car right now... Hopefully she'll be pushing 380rwhp by the end of the year. :)

But god...... Could you imagine the unslightly beast of a sleeper a TTRodeo would be? :)

Turbo VX?
