My ebrake does not hold the truck anymore for some reason,

I recently changed the rear brakes so its not the brake pad.

brakes were done right, pushed caliber in etc,

is there some way of tightening the e-brake?

Thank you

Had the same problem with mine after replacing the entire brake system(oh the joy of rusty brake calipers) all you have to do is climb under your trooper. It should be on the right side at the front of the rear door. And just tighten the nut. Its on a y shaped metal peice. One cable coming from the front two the rear. :) hope this helps. Well that's where it is on my 88. Shouldn't be much difference between them though.
