Tranny Problem

All,

It hasd been awhile since my last post/visit to the site. The new look is great.

Well I had trouble with the intake gasket again and had it replaced. Now my Troop ('98 Trooper s 4wd w/ auto) is having touble shifting at highway speeds and the tranny light just came on. My question is whether any of the work done to change the intake gasket and/or changing the serpentine belt could foul up the tranny? I can't think of any reason it should. :?

The same thing has happened to me, I changed the head gasket, then Transmission got all screwed up. Based on what I have found out so far, at least in my case , the condensor (a capacitor that filters out all noise and high frequencies ) is mounted /grounded on the valve cover. If the valve cover loses the ground then the noise possibly from ignition zaps the TCM. I am still working on this problem, I got another TMC which I will try this weekend and let you know.
