I just replaced my stock 245/70/16 Bridgestones on my 2000 Trooper with 4 new Liberator/All terrain 255/70/16 from Wal-Mart.Does anyone has any comments on these tires?I bought them for the price.

With the little difference in height and width of the new tires, what do you guys think the air pressure should be now? Isuzu recommends
30psi F/35psi R for the 245/70/16.

Thank you all.

As far as the tire pressure, there is a rating on the side of the tire, could be anywhere from 35 psi, to 60 psi, start with that, and go down of you feel the ride is too harsh. Remember though, with gas prices the way they are now, it might be more worthwhile to go with the maximum recomended pressure for the tire, as lower air pressure increases rolling resistance, etc...

I used to run with 35 psi on the hyway, but decided to try 40 and like it much better. Obviously that's much too hard for rough roads.
