Just bought a 90 Troop but here goes first impression,

Best

1- drives like a tank 2- looks cool 3- easy to find in DMV parking lot
4- ride height 5- no rust on mine 6- Big inside 7- five doors plus
8- 4x4 9- cold A/C 10- says Trooper on side

Worst

1- Head gasket leak mild for now 2- valve noise 3- rough idle 4- 2.6 liters of Isuzu Power 5- sqeeking brake idicators 6- Side ashtrays
7- that 1st oil drip in my driveway from driveline head 8- hesitation rev on clutch out 9- ding dong bell as I'm closing door
10- I'll stop here because this 10 took to long!

Well I guess the cool factor wins here

hey man you think that 2.6L is gutless, troopers have 4.56 gears and the motor puts out 125hp and 150lb-ft. Now my first truck was a 1980 Isuzu KB (Chevy LUV), it has a 1.8L whith 85hp and 95lb-ft and 4.10 gears. Its saving grace is it only wighs half as much as the trooper. But when i first got my Trooper i was giddy about the power :lol:
oh and might whant to adjust those valves, loose valves on Isuzu burn up realy quick. Also that and your haedgasket weep you mentioned are probly robbing alot of power, but it will never be realy impresive :lol:
