Can anyone tell me if the 2.8 v6 has more than one temp sending unit? and the locations if there are more than one.

Also, anyone have the electrical diagram for a 1990 2.8 v6 they can email me?

darn temp sending unit not working and changed the sending unit on top out and still not working.

I think the one you want is the sensor in the block itself, driver's side, at the fron of the head very close to where the exhaust manifold attaches.

IIRC, the sensor in the intake manifold is the one that communicates with the ECM and the one in the block is connected to the temp gauge - or it could be the other way around, heck, I can't keep 'em straight :lol:

Thanks, i found the 2nd lower sensor you mentioned.

But neither the parts houses or the dealer parts dept know of a sensor located in that place. Does anyone know what the part number might be or have a manual that shows the exploded view of the temp sensor on the left side of motor on the head just above the exhaust manifold?
