I have these on my 98 rodeo

I'm going to take them off, sand them down, and paint them flat black, so my question is, can I take off the center caps? If so, is it ok to keep them off? I really don't like them...

TIA

Take 'em off. If you don't like them leave them off. I took mine off due to two of the four flying off and won't put any back on. By the way, ready for game 7? Not a hockey fan but game seven in any sport is worth watching!

I am so nervous right now I could throw up :p

I guess they just pop off then? And thanks for the reply :)

No, some don't "pop off". They have screws that hold them on. If you take the wheels off there could be screws in there. Wait for somebody that has them to tell you how. I was saying that it's fine to run without them.

Mine are bolted to the wheels. Remove the bolts, then remove the cap from the wheel. (with wheels removed from vehicle)

Flat black will not hold up. Gloss is most durable but attracts dirt and is what most black rims are.
