I recently installed a body lift on my 2000 rodeo and had so many problems with it I took it out. Now it is off and the part where the steering column connects to the piece that goes into the power steering box doesnt fit all the way together. I tried pulling the steering column down and got an extra inch but it still needs to go down another inch or so. What could be the problem?

Never did a lift myself, but could you have possibility bent the steering shaft or where its bolted to the firewall and not know it?

I should probably check that...it is very possible too now that i think of it...

I'm curious to hear what kind of problems you were having, I've done 2 body lifts on '98+ with no problems.

As far as your steering, let me see a pic of it, we'll get it figured out.

did body slid backwards?

Did you loosen bolt so shaft can slide near firewall?
