Hi,
I have a 1991 Trooper, 2.8 v6, It has been sitting for the last month, I went to use it and it started right up, yet I hit the gas peddle and it dies. Now it starts up normal and dies within seconds. The Trooper ran fine all winter long. Any suggestions on what I should look at? Thanks

If it is wired anything like the 2.6l 1st gens, check the alternator. In the 2.6 setup, the alternator energizes the "engine relay" which in turn powers the fuel pump. If the alternator isn't working, the key in the start position powers the fuel pump long enough to build up enough pressure for the engine to run for only a few seconds.

Beyond that, check the obvious: fuel filter, fuel quality, etc.
