I had a slight almost squeeking, rubbing noise coming from somewhere near the timing belt area. It slowly started making more "squeeks" per minute and then after starting off from a stop light I heard a rattling noise and then BAM the engine died and all lights came on. Tried to start it no go. On the second try it started and made it uphill home but as I coasted down driveway it made that surging noise like a hose might be off or like it makes when it is extremely hot. Temp gauge said fine. The original noise is gone but all dash lights are on. Help!! :0)

Well sorry about the last post. Found the problem. The alternator belt was wearing I guess that was the noise I heard and then it broke apart. Got me home tho. Love my Amigo....:0)
