hey everyone. I am new here as well.
I just bought a used 87 trooper. i had a lot of work on the engine, because it was over heating. Now the gauge stops a little over a third of the way. The problem i am having is there is no shroud for the fan. I know this will help greatly. The problem now is finding one.
If there is any one that knows where i can get one or knows a solution to my problem, please respond

Hi,
The best source for a shroud would be a junk yard. However, this may not be your problem. I put a non-isuzu thermostat my '88 one time, and ran about the same temperature, or warmer. I took it out and put in one i got from the dealer, and that fixed it. If you have an isuzu one already, make sure tha the jiggle valve is positioned at the top. I have heard that this can cause problems as well.

:evil: well, hell that did not fix the prob. right now i am running with no thermostat. i think it might b the water pump. i guess i will try that tomorrow
