Hi: Somebody hit the side of my car in the parking lot and now my passenger side view mirror has come loose. It hangs by the heating wire. I tried gorilla glue, then I tried replacing the stock double sided tape with Scotch extreme double sided tape. The Scotch double sided tape is worthless. Any ideas on how to remount this? I have it held in place now by wrapping clear shipping tape around it and the housing. Maybe a glue gun?

Have you tried Loctite Glass Glue? I had great results using it on a large truck mirror. The key
(besides following the directions) is making sure both mirror and mounting surfaces are CLEAN
before you start... no dirt, debris, and especially no oil or grease. I used brake cleaner on both surfaces
and the glue worked as advertised. Hope it does the same for you. Loctite Part # 233841.

I did it using Liquid Nails, a chalk gun, and a carpenter clamp. It seems to have worked.
