:? Well the beast is a 89 Trooper with the problematic 2.6l motor. I had the motor replaced with a "new" 'remanufactured" longblock about a year ago and recently the head gasket went bad and I had that fixed last week.
Now the motor is strong again and I have driven it to work the past couple of days and I noticed a shudder! This shudder happens when I go up on an incline (hill) in 3,4 or 5th gear, this can happen at 3k rpm and up and at speeds from 30ish MPH to 60 MPH. I have been reading the posts about this problem but I dont think I have a LSD (REAR) in my model, Its a mnual 5speed. Last night I put Castrol Gear Oil in 80/90 made for LSD but it still presists today. The shudder will get worse with more acceleration applied but goes away when you let off of the gas or put the cluth in. Is there anything else that could cause this type of vibration? It seems like the engine is having a hard time transfrering power out of the rear wheels when it happens?? Any help with this kunundrum would be helpfull. I dont realy drive the truck that often but its great in the snow and for taking my 2 dogs to the park. Please help !!!!
