I have a 90 trooper with 2.8 v6 w/ ac.
Problem: ac compressor bearing is going out and ac system is totally down.

I would like to remove the compressor until I can afford to replace the system.

Does anyone have the serpentine belt routing diagram for the 90 2.8 v6 without ac?

Interesting. I've got the same problem and need the same solution. Luckily there's a diagram in the engine bay.

Anyone got a pic of one of these motors out of the engine bay, say coming out in favor of something else for a swap?

went to parts store today and bought a serpentine belt for a 1990 trooper without a/c. The guy told me it would not work because they use different components in different locations on a/c vs non a/c configurations. He maybe right, however, in this case it worked great. Just bypassed the compressor. had to remove the idler wheel next to the compressor and after installing the belt, put the idler back in place. It worked great, so far. and not having the compressor bearing squealing like a squirrel with his hoo haws caught in a vise is GREAT.
