so for people who have done one what box to use? Im at a toss up with steering and figure someone here would know which one to use and pics of how they mounted looking at the fj60 but where to mount? Afraid if it is mounted outside the frame like it should tire will hit it

I know some people used toy boxes for steering, but what I want to know is why not use the tracker power steering box? is there something wrong with using it? is there a particular reason to not use it? what are the down sides to using the stock box?

I think you'll find the pitman arm can be a problem using a stock box- it's too short and needs to bend down somewhat- so that it won't turn far enough and the tie rod angle is too steep. Independent4x might have a fix.

Sorry I missed this... look at my build page and it will show how a re-mounted the stock box and built a new pitman arm. If your using a toy axle the stock arm will work for lock to lock steering. The d 44 needed a longer one.

How's that work without crossing over itself ??? Do you gave any bump steer ???
