The Cancer is really starting to overtake my rear quarters down by where the mudflaps bolt on. I'm afraid on of them is just going to take off down the road along with a big chunk of rusted paint and metal. Only place I have rust. I'll post up some pictures of it tomorrow. I thought about just emptying a can of close color rustolium all over it inside and out to help slow it down, but what else can I do? Too much money to put professional body work into such an old Zu. I just mainly want to stop it from getting any worse. Thanks.

That doesn't sound too bad for a 15yr old truck! I dunno of any real way to stop it once you've got rust-thru, aside from cut out the bad areas & patch in some new sheet metal. Slap on a BIG set of fender flares & forget about it !

You should look up a product called POR-15 (Paint Over Rust). It is supposed to stop the rust, and it can be painted after it dries.
