I sense something wrong with my rodeo and hope someone may have some insight...

I have a '95 rodeo and just had the starter motor replaced and had it tuned. They said I needed new spark plug wires, so I did that myself to save some $$. I've checked all the wires, but just can't tell if it's misfiring. There does seem to be a little more engine shaking at idle than prior to the work (both mechanic and my own) being done.

I just can't get up to freeway speeds (it really takes a long time) - any ideas?

Thanks

Check for loose connections. Make sure your plug wires are in the correct places. Also, it wouldn't be the first time someone forgot to set the correct gap on a new set of plugs. I'd pull a few (after the engine is cool) and check the gap.

Air filter and fuel filters changed I assume? I doubt this is your problem but they do sort of complete your tune up.

Gap is .44 but you need to check your manual on that.
