Removing center console to get at Power/Winter button

Hi everybody,

Just have some more questions for my current project. I need to tap the switch backlight power wires off of the Power/Winter Drive button for the fog light switch I'm putting in the empty space. How do I remove the switch?

Or just remove the whole center console?

On mine I had to remove the center consol. But why not think of the light wire for the lighter? Andie

I suppose I could, but that would be a pretty long run, and seeing as the wires for the Power/Winter button are right there..

Maybe you guys are confused on the placement, I'm putting a fog light switch in the empty spot to the right of the Power/Winter button.

Basically just remove the screws in the bottom of the center console, then pull up. It can be tricky around the e-brake but you'll get it.

TAKE A VERY SMALL KNIFE BLADE , AND INSERT IT AROUND THE EDGE OF THE SW AND PRY IT UP GENTLY ONE END AND THEN THE OTHER , IT IS HELD IN WITH SPRING CLIPS MADE ON TO THE BODY OF THE SW, IT IS JUST PRESSED INTO THE HOLE ,JERRY
