Glad to see you are gettin-er-dun, Mark! And glad to see a pic of your mug so I can get the image of an actual Sasquatch out of my head. My hands are STILL black in the paws from all the wrenching I did on my axles Wednesday.
I'm 38 now and I gotta say, doing this stuff alone does kick my butt nowadays. I was WIPED by the time I stopped. I am grateful my new impact is here and helping ease the pain.
I like the idea of the long all-thread bolts for lining up the trans. That is always a chore, expecially by yourself. I am definitely going to use that method when I do my trans!
Hmm, so I will have an ARB mini compressor installed, but I don't think I will have an extra port of an air horn. I really like the Wolo horns and I would like to get something like this. How does it work? Do these take the place of your stock horns or do you have a separte button for the Wolo horns? Does the compressor just fill up a reservoir and then stay off until you blow the horns and then kick back on to refill? It's not like you have to turn the compressor on, right?
From what you've told me of your sisters. I think you need to move up a couple of models to maybe something in this line. http://www.wolo-mfg.com/truck.htm
Bart you don't want these facing open into the wind and water. That's what the instructions say. Open end down to keep water out. Beside I believe in NOT advertising. Johnny law likes advertising.
Well, I was actually thinking they could be mounted on the bottom of the roof rack deck, behind and under the light bar. If I could get them in black, you really wouldn't know they are even there, and I could probably still angle them down. Worst case, they go under the hood. Anyway, not a mod I am pressed to get done, but something I would like to do in the future.
