The zipper for my spare cover is welded in place by corrosion from weather. I used to check the spare every so often just to make sure it would be good if I needed it (which I never have, yet). Does anyone know how to free it without destroying the zipper or cover? I kind of like the cover because it discourages theft since the zipper is hard to get to.

Try penetrating oil. Let it soak a while. It might work it lose.
