there is a rancho 9000 in-cab controller for sale on ebay for cheap - is it compatible with rancho 9000x shocks or only 9000's? is there a difference? the one for slae is a few years old.

I think the 9000's are the old ones, 5 position setting. Then the 9000x's are 9 postition setting. Or rancho has a really cool shock that kinda automatically puts you on the right setting.

Either one will work for either one. There is unlimited adjustment with either one. With the adjustment on the shock you only have the notches available that come on the adjuster. So you get 5 notches on the 9000 and 9 on the 9000X. But with the in cab controller, you can set it anywhere between those 5 settings, or 9 settings whichever the case may be.

What about the automatic option. I wanted to get these myself.
If I could find them for a 02 Rodeo Sport. The automatic one sound
very cool, seem it would help for a safer highway ride.

Those would be the Rancho RSX I believe. I don't know anyone running those. So I can't offer anything other than the name of them.
