This is regarding the retaining clips.
I saw one post where a guy said "Make certain that you buy new clips".

But I've seen a handful of people who just re-used the factory clips.

Is this an affair in which I'm just not going to know until I pull them off and inspect them?

Is there any place that sells these clips online?

First off, are you going to manual hubs from automatics? If so, your auto hubs will not have the 26mm snaprings, but a smaller snapring. This smaller one will not work with the manual hubs.

You can get the 26mm ones from matt at www.independent4x.com

This is an inexpensive part, yet it is critical to the hub. Use new and correct part. Why risk everything on a 25 cent part. Metal fatigues and unless you have a very expensive instrument to test this you can tell by looking and hoping. Good luck

Yes. Just get new ones. And while you are at it, get a FEW new ones. It really is worth it.

Your 2nd gen also uses them, but im not sure if they have them from the factory cause of the drive flanges.

Glad to see that you finally got some AISINS.
