Gday guys, great forum you have here. Really helpful information too.

Just have a quick question about the Air Flow Metre on my 2.6 rodeo, you know when you take off the lid to the airbox, you see like a honeycomb piece which can slide out.

Well what does it do exactly? i mean it looks like it would be a restriction through the inlet tube, does it need to be there? im running a cold air intake pipe to the airbox, collecting air from behind the front grill, would i get more of a benefit from removing this honeycomb piece??

thanks alot...
Adam.

That meters the incoming air, it needs to be there.

No matter the function of the piece, it will not cause a restriction.
