I am going to weld my front 3rd member on my 95 Trooper. Chilton's tells me to pull pretty much everything off and then pull the 3rd. I know I only have to pull the axle shafts out of the 3rd an inch or two. Any way to accomplish this that won't take me a whole day?

What's the quickest way to pull the third?

I already have manual hubs and I am not going to change my mind on welding it. I had a welded rear in my 89 trooper. Loved it, minus the tire wear. I want to do front on this one as it's my daily driver still, but I still want/need the traction off road.

Trying to get this done before Uwharrie's done for the season.

Thanks

Yep...the CV axles are fixed to the diff brackets, which means you gotta remove the brackets, which means you are dropping the whole thing...believe me I wish there was an easier way.
