I developed a Oil Leak yesterday some where along our Trail Riding and it is leaking from between the Trans and Engine. Tad pointed the leak out to me yesterday evening when we left Applebees. So any ideas of what it might be would be greatly appreciated. I believe that it is the rear main but it hasnt lost any oil on the dipstick and it is begining to bug me. Any Help will most deffinately be appreciated. Thanks Dale

You should also check the valve covers, at the back near the firewall. It definitely was engine oil, not transmission fluid or something else. Watch the level though, it is bound to go down eventually.

Hey Dale,
I had a similar problem for a long time, I was leaking oil all over the place, but the oil level wasnt going down on the dipstick, I finally took it into the shop to find out what was going on... It turned out to be a bad seal on the dipstick,so whenever i would slosh everything around, ie offroading, oil would leak out, A VERY Easy and cheap fix, Check that out before you take it to a shop.

The best thing to do is maybe to get up under there and clean all the oil off real good and then drive around for a while and see if you can tell where the oil is coming from..

It was nice meeting you on Saturday, Hope you had a good time! i had a blast!!
Peace
Joel
