Ok, Ok, I know in the overall grand scheme of things, this sounds quite, well, archaic, but what the hell.........
Finances always being a consideration, I managed to consciously comprehend that my computer mobo can take up to a 500Mhz processor, significant because I've been running a 300Mhz processor for almost 5 years now (yeah, yeah, I know - so nineties).
So, I found an AMD K6-2/500 processor at http://www.newegg.com for a whopping $16 with free shipping.
Got it today and after some trial and error - that puppy is working and for just a 200Mhz jump, it's a heck of an improvement!
Can't wait to grow up and join the 21st Century
It's so nice now not to have to watch graphics draw up on the screen
Anyone else done some kewl upgrades lately?
Cheers,
