Guys and Gals,

Just bought a 2004 Axiom. Liking the ride so far. Check engine light came on and I was told I needed to replace the Cam Shaft Sensor. Does anyone have a diagram on where this and is this something a weekend DIY'er can do? Also has anyone done an IPOD adapter to the stock stereo. Thanks

from what i found is that the camshaft sensor is on the passenger side of the engine behind the motor mount , google it up and rockauto has a picture of it and about $53 , looks easy to replace . but don't know for sure.

There are two camshaft sensors on a 04 Axiom, one for each bank. They are located on the rear of the cylinder head. The engine has variable valve timing (VVT) and there is a rotor device on the rear of each exhaust camshaft. The VVT on the exhaust eliminates the need for the EGR valve. The part # is 8-97288-728-0 Cam Angle Sensor
