Hello all. I am new to the forum. Actually, I only began searching for an ISUZU forum today. PLANETISUZOO, so far, seems the most promising on the net.

In my search today I have read both positive and negative stories about Isuzu and Isuzu products. I guess I am one of the lucky one's. I own a 95 Isuzu Rodeo, 3.2L V6 with 144K miles on it and have had relatively good luck with it. It has been a great vehicle through the years but these days we just use it as a second vehicle for commuting around in.

My question today revolves around the Knocking noise coming from under the hood. This has been a recurring problem through the years. Typically, a trip to the service station for a full fuel system cleaning/treatment process does the trick. However, these treatments do not seem to last as long as they use too.

Our maintenance record on the vehicle is good. There still seems to be plenty of power under the hood (no apparent loss of compression). Just that dang TAP, TAP, TAPPing that keeps coming back time and again.

I have read about knock sensors, O2 sensors, etc.... Is there any performance value in replacing these sensors that may help the Knocking Blues?

thanks,

I-Rodeo
