Hello everybody! I was trying to figure out how to get my TOD to work and finally found the problem! The wire on the transfer position switch was ripped off! I soldered The wire back together and it finally worked. But just the other day as I went into 4WD, it didn’t work. So I went other the car, and yet again the wire was torn out! I’ve been trying to find a new part but can’t find any out there. Does anyone have one/know where I can get one? Thanks!

The part number is 8-97101-956-2, but a google search shows it has been discontinued.

Junkyard is your best bet for something like that. Any 98-02 4x4 Trooper should have what you need.

Is something moving enough to pull the wires out?

98-99 Rodeo/Passport/Amigo use the same switch and I expect older trucks do as well.

Ya im gonna look around junk yards for that part. Shouldn’t be to hard to get. I’m not sure why the wire keeps pulling out though. Thanks for the help!
