I’d get a repair estimate from a body shop and see what insurance says. Being an old they might say to hell with it and total it out, not sure. As long as there’s no major damage to the body (just damage to the door) you should be able to replace it yourself pretty easily and pocket most of the check

Damn! $1250 is pretty good, should be able to fix it up and have a little left over if you do the repairs yourself 🤙
