Don't know hat it's like in your area, but down here, golf carts are thing. Many municipalities are allowing GCs on roads with posted speeds of 35MPH or less. At first it was just get a GC and drive local, the the state figured a way to get their knitpickers in the deal. 25MPH and under carts get a decal, high speed get a regular tag. While I currently don't have one, we used to. We live in a golf course community (it wasn't expensive when we moved here 25 years ago). DennisBefore we moved this summer, my most common stops were the auto parts store, grocery story, liquor store, and Home Depot, all within 1 mile of my house. Then taking the kid to school that was like 5 miles from my house. All those short trips would have been perfect for an EV.
