On the 6VD1 there is a map sensor and no maf. The map sensor is basically on the oppisite side of the manifold from the throttle plate. Now there is a closed off port right next to the vac line that goes to the FPR. Wouldnt it be better to have the map closer to the throttle plate?

MAP is manifold absolute pressure, unless I got it all messed up. It doesn't matter how far it is away. Vacuum is the same no matter how long the hose is. It is just comparing manifold pressure/vacuum to atmospheric conditions.
