I am new to Isuzu's and have a question about the oil pressure. I did a search here but didn't find anything. My new rig is a 93 Rodeo 3.2 liter with 130,000 miles and it runs great. The idle is very low and the oil pressure once warmed up seems very low too. It is appears to be around 5psi idling once warmed up when on the gas its around 30psi. Oil levels look good and its not running hot. Is this normal? My last vehicle was a GMC with 4.3 liter and it both idled higher and had much higher oil pressure. Just trying to solve problems before they become problems. Any help is much appreciated thanks.

Might not be real accurate. Your low oil pressure warning lamp is probably set to come on at 7ish lbs. An extra low idle can cause a low pressure at idle. Need to google or find someone here with a manual to tell you those oil pressures. On my little 2.6, though the gauge goes to 110 or so, anything from 15lbs. and up on a fully warmed engine is factory acceptable.
