"Lesson Learned" (lol)

The day before Thanksgiving, BF and I were sitting in a drive thru when we decided to leave. After checking and seeing nothing behind us, he backed up. Then we heard the "crunch". A little Acura Integra was behind us and Kenny ran right into it. Crinkled the hood pretty good. No damage at all to Isuzu! :)

Well, I ran into the girl at the store yesterday and come to find out her initial damage was $1500. They called her back a few days later and the damage was up to $2600-busted the radiator.

When we hit her, she made the comment "You people in these SUVs need to buy something smaller". All I could do was bite my tongue, not the time or place to get into THAT discussion. Well, I let her know about her little comment when I talked to her and actually got a nice reply! After asking me what kind of damage I had, I told her nothing-not even paint on the spare tire cover. Told her the truck itself did not do the damage, it was spare tire that did it. I told her maybe she should think about getting a little bigger car!

Well, after being hit, she is driving her mother's Cherokee and actually liking it. She too, also realized that there are some cars out there that are really small-hers included.

It was nice to see someone actually bash an SUV, then turn around and learn a lesson-better yet to admit it!

I'll keep defending these SUV's. Being short (5'2"), I feel pretty tall in mine! :D And even when we "ran over" that little car, no damage here! :D

thasts perty funny. I got rearended in my little 80 pickup once by a kid in a CRX (its always honds owners isnt it  ). He totally trashed the front edn of his car, i just had to rub the white paint of my rear bumper.
Sounds just like an experience I had with a Mercedes and an Audi owner 2 years ago. They were too busy trying to cut each other off at a toll plaza that they forgot there were cars in front of them.

The Audi swerved, the Mercedes went THUD into my hitch bar.

No damage at ALL to me. He lost his radiator, hood damage, bumper cracked... We partd ways without exchanging info because it was totally his fault.
LOL always the Honda owners! My dad could not keep a Honda without wrecking it. They somehow had an attraction to deer-or the deer really liked them! Every one they had was wrecked. Finally wised up and bought a Cherokee (which they hit a deer with) and a Mustang (which was hit by another car). Time to park those!

ioracle!
Prit-ty funny, just had to get to get that toll booth! Amazing what a hitch will do-I just consider those another one of those "safety features"! :D ( I don't have one on the 96 but the 95 has one. ) Something to consider there! :D

You guys have EZPass for the tolls in NJ? There is nothing better than watching a bunch of morons race to the tool plaza only to be stuck in line to pay, meanwhile you just cruise right through. 8) hehe
