Anybody know where or how to make the Dome lights LED looking. There was a guy in Uwharrie in a Montero, (maybe Larry?????) that had these cool looking dome lights. Thought they looked neat and might like to do this too if not crazy expensive.

eBay. You'll be looking for festoon bulbs. They come in any color including white.

This is the style you want

Modern smd led, with heatsink to absorb heat so that the leds dont overheat. All you have to do is measure the length of your current bulbs and look for ones that match.

Also, ignore the price. You'll find single units for like 5-6 bucks. That was just the first one I clicked one that was the proper style

cool, I will check those out.
Dryvr12, your trooper is the exact color and all as my 88. Kind of weird seeing that again, my truck doesn't look much like that anymore, mostly stays dirtier it seems. Hasn't even been touched since I brought it home from URE.

I don't have these for dome lights per se, but I have them underneath the seats and up under the dash to light up, wired to turn on in sync with the dome lights...

They are bright enough to replace a dome, but that might be an option for you to look into.

I am working with this guy to get a set for gen2 troopers going. The "kit" he makes runs around 50 bucks, worth it to me so I dont have to mess with it.
I hope to get the first production of it in a while. If so I will start a thread for him on here.
Seems to be a very good setup

I'm happy to be the test subject, and if it is a good product, may be worth trying to get a Rodeo kit out there. Or any car really.

Mmmmmm I smell a write-up/promo thread! I'd be down for a full interior LED kit.
