Has anyone had any luck with KYB's just got a set, and was wondering if they really do improve the ride....

I had a set of KYB Gas-a-justs on the back of my 91 and they rode great until the top mounts pulled through the mounting after some spirited wheeling. May have been an installation snafu on my part as they came with no instructions and I may have go the rubbers/washers around the wrong way.

Hey Jason,
I had the KYB set installed in my Rodeo Sport earlier this year......woohoo!
The difference in ride was like night & day. Before, my original shocks
@ 60,000mi. were very squishy but the new KYB's are firm and dampen well.
The most obvious improvement is in cornering & heavy braking.
I get a lot less of the [HMS Titanic] leaning in the curves. The Sport has the
short longitudinal wheelbase required for spirited cornering and the
KYB's fit the bill just right. Some people in the forums have complained
that the KYB Gas-Adjusts were too stiff. Maybe they adjusted them too stiff!
Look for the KYB thread in automotiveforums.com for some added comments.
IMHO Isuzu should have installed the KYB's as OEM!
You will like them in on-road use. Sorry I don't really know how well they do
in off-road use as the dirt road to my Kamping Kabin is as off-road as I get!
Take Care,
johann
