This is a big can of worms to open (haven't read the link, know the material though).

The proper coax length depends on a hand full of factors, like: what freq is to be transmitted on, how fast is the antenna from the radio, what is the signal velocity of your coax, etc...

And from a quality standpoint, firestick is only better then home made coax. If money is tight it's fine, but if you can afford it, move up a few shelves. In radio antenna + coax = 80% of your system, spend accordingly. A $15 flea market cb on a $200 antenna/coax setup will SPANK a $200 radio + $200 linear (amplifier) on a $15 antenna/coax setup.

Stu is a pretty interesting and stand up guy. Been reading some of his stuff for at least five years or so. Found it entertaining that he posted that up for everyone. :D

Ok I read the link. I have read that before lol. I love that page. Written by a true ham operator! Good on him for trying to share some truth.
